To reduce the time of wound healing at first the wound bed must be prepared.
Wound bed preparation is to increase the effectiveness of wound care products with accelerating wound healing and shorten the duration of treatment.
In order to properly prepare the wound bed, the following should be done:
Reduction of the volume of microorganisms in the wound bed
Removal of necrotic and sloughy tissue
Control exudates
Management of cell dysfunction and biochembcal imbalances
The ultimate goal of this operation is to ensure the formation of healthy granulation tissue, which ultimately leads to complete wound closure.
PHMB 0.1%, Betaine, Hydroxyethyl cellulose
Epimax Wound Gel are in gel form and with different viscosity of U Plus. This feature allows the use of these compounds in a wide range of deep wounds.
Cleaning and moisturizing wounds and skin burns
Traumatic wounds
Postoperative wounds
Chronic skin lesions (venous ulcers – diabetic or pressure ulcers)
Thermal wounds
Chemical wounds (caused by acid and base)
Radiation wounds
Wound Gel is usually used on deep wounds, tunnels, cavities and inaccessible areas with a secondary dressing.
Application:
To prepare the wound bed, the necrotic tissue and slough must be optimally removed, which requires crusts to be kept wet for a long time so that they can be easily removed; this is achieved by Epimax wound gel. In addition, Epimax Wound gel is used because the gel remains on the wound until the dressing is replaced, thus helping to prevent biofilm formation and infection. Epimax Wound gel is used for wide flesh wounds of 3-4 mm.
Note: It is necessary to use Epimax Wound gel until the wound heals.
Destruction and prevention of biofilm
Prevent infection
Reduce wound healing time
Painless dressing change
Use of materials without allergenic properties
(Without any sensitivity and irritability according to ISO10993-10 standard)
Applicable with other dressings
Before using these compounds, you should wash all cleansers, ointments and the oil on the wound well with U Plus solution.
Do not use in hyaline cartilage and Non-infectious joint surgeries.
Standard Time-Kill Test for bacteria, fungus, and yeasts (ASTM 2315)
Not causing sensitivity and irritation according to ISO 100993-10
Approved and registered in Office for Supervision of Drugs and Narcotic Affairs under the control of the Food and Drug Organization
