Due to its chemical decomposition in its environment, hydrogen peroxide shows different chemical activities. This activity removes all microbial forms.

Comparison of Epimax S with aldehyde compounds (glutaraldehyde, formaldehyde):
Aldehydes stabilize the protein compounds of blood and tissue material and incompletely perform the cleaning process, while hydrogen peroxide removes proteins from surfaces well. The toxicity of aldehydes is high in terms of the environment and the residues in the environment, while peracetic acid does not have any toxic residues in the environment. Phenolic compounds are very toxic to the environment and their use has the restrictions of environment in the world. Color is one of the characteristics of iodine compounds that limits its use.
